The Setting you use to set up your E-Mail account depends on who is providing you with E-Mail and the level of control you have over your internet services.

E-Mail Account with a Service Provider

When you connect to the internet through a service provider, that service provider will supply you with an E-Mail address. You will need to get these details from the service provider so you can connect to the Mail server and get and send your E-Mail

  1. Email Address: for example james@udopage.com
  2. Password
  3. Username: The Username can sometimes be your E-Mail address or the part of your E-Mail address to the left of the @ sign. If your E-Mail address is james@udopage.com your username will be james.
  4. Server Setting
  5. Pop or IMAP setting

 

Browser E-Mail Account

To Log on to your browser bassed E-Mail account you will need your

  1. Username: The Username can sometimes be your E-Mail address or the part of your E-Mail address to the left of the @ sign. If your E-Mail address is james@udopage.com your username will be james.
  2. Password.
  3. The URL of the web page where your E-Mail is kept. For example www.mail.udopage.com.
