MP3 PlayersCreative Stone
Sound quality is very good. I always keep the Stone charged with a daily top up. Just to be on the safe side. When it was new I normally got about 8 hrs play. 2 years and 100's of charging cycles later I get about 4 hrs. This is more than enough time for my daily walk. Cons I use this MP3 player to listen to Podcasts rather than music. This does make a difference to the type of MP3 player you should use. The Creative Stone's lack of a screen is a big minus. You need to be able to know visually where you are and be able to delete Podcasts when you are finished with them which you can't do with the stone. Copy files from iTunes
Filing SystemBecause the Creative Stone has no display its easy to get lost. You may also forget if you have fresh or already listened material on the stone. I get around this problem by having 3 folders. One has music. The other 2 have Podcasts. I seldom listen to music but its good have it there. I walk a lot and listen to podcasts. By rotating between 2 folders with the podcasts I can make sure I always have fresh podcasts to listen to. When I have finished listening to the material of one of the folders all I need to do is remember what folder I am presently listening too. And remember if I have listened to the other podcast folder already. I simply replace the podcasts in the folder that I have listened to and continue listening the folder that has the unlistened to podcasts. This can be a hassle, so my next MP3 player will have a screen and the ability to delete MP3s.
One folder always has Buzz Out Loud on it. The other folder has everything else. I alternate my listening these 2 folders. When the tech folder runs out and I go to Buzz Out Loud folder I know its time to add more podcasts to the tech folder. Or visa versa.
