Connecting to the Netgear DG834 Router Modem

I found setting up the Netgear DG834 Router Modem a simple process. However there were some problems that needed to be resolved. To browse to the Netgear DG834 control panel I needed to reset the device as the IP address had been changed.

To reset the Netgear DG834, with the power on insert a small piece of wire onto the reset hole in the back. Hold the wire in for over 10 seconds. Be warned that you will loose and settings the router has when you do a reset.

Connect the router and turn your computer on. In the address bar of your Browser type http://192.168.0.1

The User Name is admin
The password is password

You are now in the router manager.
