Networks are collections of computer and equipment that share information. In this section we will be studing LAN and WAN networks.

Internet ISP

My ISP is Vodafone New Zealand. The relationship is a normal one. I pay my bill and they leave me alone. In New Zealand the lines are owned by Telecom and rented by Vodafone and resold on to the user.

Hardwear

I have a ADSL Router Modem. I find the Netgear DG834 to work well

 and feels better than the DSL-502T ADSL modem router, switch combination I used to have.

     

I can browse to the DSL-502T by entering 10.1.1.1 in a browser address bar

Things you need to Know

You need to know your Username and Password to connect your Modem to your account.
