Internet Chat

Chat is the sending of a text message to another person over the internet. Like most things on the net there are plenty of ways to do the same thing. One of the most popular chat methods is IRC (internet Relay Chat).

There are `two methods of chatting over the internet.

You can use a dedicated application to chat, like Microsoft Messenger

Or you can use a browser based chat like Meebo.
