Downloading files and application from the internet is an acceptable method of getting files and applications or files into your computer. In reality downloading is the name of the process of coping a file or application that are on a remote computer onto your computer.

Security
A downloaded file and especially a downloaded application may have malicious content. So there is always a risk that you have gone to a bad site.

All you would have to do then is click Save File.. Some applications are so big that they have small applications that you download first to help you download the larger main program. In all cases dialog boxes help with the downloading process.
