Move iTunes to a New Computer

How to move all the contents and settings of iTunes from one computer to another computer.

iTunes by default puts all your music files into the iTunes folder.

Normally this folder can be found here.

Make a copy the iTunes folder and all its contents.

The iTunes folder contains your music, podcast and metadata that iTunes needs to organize your files.

Install iTunes onto your new computer. When iTunes asks if it can find your music say no. Quit iTunes. Use Explore to find the newly created iTunes folder.

Delete this folder and replace it with the one you copied from your old computer.

Now when you open iTunes all your settings from your old computer will be on your new computer.

Done!
