How to give XP a Classic Look

You have control over the look and feel of XP. For instance XP can look like previous versions of Windows in classic mode theme.

To make this change Right Click an empty part of the Desktop

Properties

Select Properties >> Appearance

Then choose Windows Classic style from the drop down menu. Click OK or Apply

Windows will now appear in the older Windows 2000 style. Just select Windows XP style to revert back to the XP style.

NOTE
If the Windows XP style option does not show in the drop down menu you may have themes turned off. To turn them back on

Click Start >> Right Click >> Manage >> Click Services and Applications Click Services

Click Themes and make sure this service is started.
